WordDive – One-Day Production That Boosted Brand Awareness with Engaging Videos

1. The Starting Point

WordDive’s goal was to boost brand awareness and increase sales in the Finnish market, with a clear focus on creating and strengthening a distinctive brand identity. The aim was to execute a concise and efficient production, and based on a history of successful collaboration, WordDive trusted Otavamedia to deliver on this project.

WordDive is a Finnish language-learning app that combines personalized practice with effective learning methods, providing practical and engaging ways to master languages. Its diverse course selection supports everyone from beginners to advanced learners.

Otavamedia proposed an efficient production package that included scripting, organizing the shoot, casting actors, and producing two ready-to-use videos along with a set of professional photos. By completing all materials in a single-day shoot, the project achieved both creative impact and cost efficiency.

2. The Solution

The result was a brand campaign featuring two short videos and campaign images. These were transformed into versatile advertising materials for print, online platforms, banners, and websites. The materials enhanced the brand’s visibility across key channels, showcasing the benefits of learning through humorous and relatable everyday scenarios – where language skills make life smoother.

The videos were adapted into various lengths and formats to meet the diverse needs of the campaign and engage audiences across multiple channels. The materials were easily repurposed for different contexts, such as paid advertising, enabling impactful visibility in:

  • YouTube, where the visuals and storytelling truly shine
  • Social media platforms like Instagram and Facebook, through precisely targeted ads
  • Streaming services, where the materials connect with the audience in a natural setting

All video and image materials were created in a single-day shoot across three locations in the Helsinki metropolitan area: Otavamedia’s office, the Humina recording studio, and Seksico Tacos restaurant.

3. The Results

The campaign was highly successful, as the new materials enabled the client to effectively utilize channels that require clear short-form videos. Additionally, the campaign produced tailored still images, which the client has been able to use flexibly across multiple formats and channels, including print and digital advertising. This approach met the production’s key goals and delivered measurable results for the client:

  • Website traffic and sales grew significantly during the campaign
  • The materials were so effective that the client plans to use them in their next brand campaign

The strong and impactful collaboration between WordDive and Otavamedia continued, with the video-based materials being further adapted into a radio advertisement set to air in early 2025.
